This debut series marked the birth of Labubu as part of "The Monsters" universe, designed by Kasing Lung for POP MART. Combining Eastern and Western mythological influences, it established Labubu’s signature mischievous yet endearing aesthetic—a foundation for all future iterations.

This series introduced core traits still seen today:
Yet, it lacks the hyper-detailed paint jobs and collaborative themes (e.g., Forest Concert, Art Toy) that define modern releases.
While later series overshadowed it in complexity, The Monsters Mini Figures Series 1 remains a holy grail for collectors. Its raw, unfiltered charm captures Labubu’s origins—before it became a global phenomenon.
