As Labubu grows in popularity, counterfeit versions of almost every series have flooded the market — especially for rarer, higher-value figures. Fakes of sought-after editions like "Fall in Wild" (mini version) are becoming increasingly common, and with improving manufacturing techniques, it’s getting harder to tell the real from the replica.
First, a quick note: if you purchase from official channels — such as the official Pop Mart website, pop-up stores, or their authorized vending machines — you are guaranteed an authentic product. Even if something looks slightly off, it’s still genuine when bought through these sources.
In this post, I’ll share some tips to help distinguish a real "Fall in Wild" Labubu from a counterfeit, based on comparisons with a fake sample we obtained.

Keep in mind: no method is 100% foolproof. As guides like this become public, counterfeiters often improve their processes to fix the flaws we point out. Still, for most fakes currently circulating, these clues should help you make a more informed judgment.
1. Check the Font on the Packaging
Look closely at the dotted lines around the text on the packaging. On the authentic box, you’ll notice very fine, subtle dotted textures around the letters. The fake version typically lacks this detail or has poorly defined dots.

2. Feel the Stiffness of the Hat
The hat on the real Labubu is made of a firmer, more structured canvas that holds its shape well. The counterfeit tends to use softer, flimsier material that doesn’t hold its form as easily.

3. Observe the Flower on the Waist
The small flower on the waist of the authentic figure is plump, well-proportioned, and brightly colored. On fakes, it often appears flat, less defined, and slightly disproportionate.

4. Inspect the Collar of the Undershirt
Under the overalls, Labubu wears a white undershirt. On the genuine figure, the collar is thicker, tighter, and hardly reveals the neck. On the fake, the collar is usually narrower and looser, often exposing more of the neck area.

While these tips are helpful for spotting most common fakes, always remember that counterfeiters continuously refine their products. When in doubt, buy from trusted sellers and authorized retailers to ensure you’re getting the real deal.
Happy collecting!
