With the growing popularity of Labubu, more and more people are joining the community of collectors and fans. As the demand increases, so does the presence of counterfeit products. You might have come across guides that compare tiny details like the color of the box, the feel of the plastic packaging, or even the texture of the paint on the figure. While these can sometimes be helpful, it’s important to know that not all differences indicate a fake — some are simply due to variations between production batches or factories.
So how can you be sure your Labubu is authentic?
The most reliable way is to use the official verification method introduced by POP MART. By scanning the QR code located on the product’s wash tag or packaging box, you can get a definitive answer about your doll’s authenticity.
This method works for all Labubu dolls, across all series.
Here’s the link to the official authentication guide:
After scanning, you’ll receive one of three results:
✅ First-time scan → Congratulations! Your doll is authentic.
🔁 Scanned multiple times → Be cautious. This could mean the item has been resold (and may still be genuine), or that it came from an unofficial source. In some cases, counterfeiters reuse authentic boxes, so the doll inside might be fake.
❌ Exceeded scan limit → This is often a sign of a fake product. Counterfeit QR codes are sometimes copied and used multiple times, leading to this result.
If you see the “scanned multiple times” status, it’s a good idea to examine the doll more carefully or confirm its origin.
For guaranteed authenticity, always purchase through official channels.
Items from POP MART’s website, physical stores, ROBOSHOP vending machines, and authorized sellers are 100% genuine and verifiable.
