How to Know If Your Labubu Macaron Is Real?

Many of us have wondered whether the Labubu Macaron we bought is authentic. I’ve seen plenty of guides comparing everything from the box color and packaging to tiny details on the figure itself. But the truth is, many of those “differences” can simply be due to different production batches or factories — not necessarily signs of a fake. Unless it’s a really poorly made imitation (think "Lafufu" quality), some high-end fakes can look almost identical to the real thing.

So what’s the best way to know for sure?

Luckily, POP MART has officially stepped in to help. They’ve introduced a simple and reliable authentication method — using the QR code found either on the product’s wash tag or the packaging box.

This method works for all Labubu figures, including the Macaron series.

After scanning, you’ll see one of three results:

• ✅ First time scanned → Your Labubu is authentic.

• 🔁 Scanned multiple times → Tread carefully. This could mean the item was resold (so it might be genuine but pre-owned), or that it came from a non-official source. There’s even a chance the box is real… but the figure inside isn’t.

• ❌ Exceeded scan limit → Likely a fake. High-quality replicas sometimes copy valid QR codes, leading to overuse.

A "multiple scans" result doesn’t automatically mean it’s fake — but it does mean you should look closer. Maybe it’s secondhand, or perhaps it’s been repackaged. Either way, be cautious.
