It's our first lesson of Unit 2. There are two parts of this lesson. We'll teach you how to make mushroom in this part. You'll learn how to make flowerpot in next part. The main point of the lesson is to learn how to make two other important shapes in needle felting : strip and cylinder. Well, Let's start it!

Instructions
Step 1. Get a piece of wool and start rolling it tightly at the beginning and loosely at the end, because we'll deform the shape later.
Stab the rolled edge with your needle few times, just to keep it in place. we've got a loose cylinder now.
Let's deform it into cone, stand up the cylinder, Stab around the top.
Press the top with one finger, stab it around while rotating it.
Nip the cap with two fingers, stab the bottom sideways, felting the bottom of the cap.
Trim the cone in the end.
Cap's done!
Step 2: Let's make the gill of the mushroom. Take a trace of white wool, compare the size of white gill with the circle of the bottom, or mark a circle with erasable pen.
Start to stab it from the edge.
Gill's done!
Step 3: Let's make stipe. Get a piece of white roving, compare the size of stipe with cap. Don't take too much.
Rub it with your hands.
Now, let's stab it to felt.
Stab the end of stipe.
Stipe is done.
Step 4: Attach the Stipe to the cap.
Step 5: Add some spots on the cap.
Mushroom is done!
