How to make needle felted wool ball with short fiber wool?

In last lesson of < Needle Felting: From Beginner to Master >, we shared the tutorial that how to make a needle felted ball with long fiber wool. Do you still remember how long you taken to finish your first needle felted ball? Well, if I tell you it'll take half time with short fiber wool, do you want to have a try? It'll be much earier to finish a needle felted ball because of the short fiber wool's feature.

Note:

1.Roll the wool roving tightly before poke, that makes it easy to felt.

2.Roll a few times after you poke the ball for a while(45s-60s) to reform the shape and felt the surface.

Step 1.Get a piece of wool and start rolling it at one end, pls roll it tightly.

Notes:

Do you remember tying knot in Lesson 1? Yes, rolling is second way to get ready for poking wool felted ball.

Pls roll it tightly, that makes it easy to felt.

Step 2. Stab the rolled edge with your needle few times, just to keep it in place.

Step 3.Keep repeating this process: rolling & poking. It takes 10-15 minutes for your first time.
